I began my Krav journey after looking for an effective self defence system that would help protect me and my two children whilst out and about. With no martial arts or other training background I was looking for a system that would be simple to learn, but at the same time deliver real effective results on the street.
After realising how much Krav Maga helped me both in terms of essential skills, fitness and empowering me with confidence I decided I wanted to pass this onto other women. I am proud to be empowering women and girls globally through Strike Back Self Defence!

Krav Maga meaning "contact combat" is an effective, modern, dynamic self-defence and fighting system. Originally developed by its founder Imi Lichtenfeld in the 1930's, it combines the most effective techniques from boxing, wrestling, and various other combat sports.
Krav Maga is a pure reality-based self-defence system. Unlike other self-defence and sports-based systems, it has no limitations or rules.
Ultimately you train in Krav Maga so that in the worst-case scenario you can save your own life or the lives of your loved ones.
Krav Maga teaches you how to use your own body as a weapon for self-defence so you will use your hands, palms, elbows, knees, and legs as tools to help you. It uses quick explosive movements. And it's brutal. You strike at your attacker's vulnerable points such as eyes and groin and then escape.
However, Krav Maga also teaches you how to make good decisions under stress and how to actually avoid bad scenarios to begin with. But if the situation arises that you are at a point of no return then rest assured the training you have will give you the best chance to survive and go home safely.
Krav Maga is for everyone regardless of age, shape, background, or level of fitness. No experience is needed to begin training.
You will learn all the basics from stances, striking, and kicking as well as all the essential defences against common attacks including chokes, headlocks, and grabs.
After mastering the basics you can move on to training and dealing with more complicated situations such as weapon attacks and multiple attackers.
During your Krav Maga training, you will build your confidence, increase your awareness of your surroundings to become more 'switched on' and you will undoubtedly become fitter.
