Strike Back Self Defence was founded by Gulshen Bano with a bold mission: to empower women and girls worldwide with practical, life-saving self-defence skills. The idea was born from Gulshen’s personal struggle as a petite woman unable to find a women-only self-defence class, realizing that women lacked safe spaces to learn how to protect themselves. Determined to change this, she became a Krav Maga Instructor and created Strike Back Self Defence—an organization dedicated to giving women the tools and confidence to take control of their own safety. What began as a simple idea is now a global movement impacting thousands of women and girls everywhere.
Since launching our franchising program in 2024, the growth has been extraordinary. Expanding rapidly across the world from the UK through to Ireland, Northern Ireland, Europe, and Australia. Each Franchise empowering women and girls in their communities.
